Hello Toggers!

A walk to the Mother Hill
With Mothering Sunday on the horizon (it’s on Sunday 15th March), this week our walk takes us to what translates as Mother Hill in Old English – I am of course talking about Mam Tor in the Peak District. This is a great 10km circular walk that takes us to the summit of Mam Tor and across the Great Ridge.
Children are made to be outdoors
It’s no secret that I’m a firm believer of the benefits of time spent outdoors. But it’s a sad fact of life that not everyone has the opportunity to, especially families who are living below the poverty line. My sister, Gina wanted to do something about that – and that’s how The Outdoor Guide Foundation was born.
We’re delighted to have Gemma Hunt as an Ambassador for our Waterproof & Wellies campaign. As Gemma says, “Children are made to be outdoors, splashing, exploring, and learning together. I’m proud to support The Outdoor Guide Foundation as an Ambassador. Its solution is practical, it’s fast, and it means more children can be warm, dry and included on wet days.”
Thank you Gemma for your continued support for The Outdoor Guide Foundation. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for news of our exciting plans for 2026 and beyond that’s coming soon!

Thank you so much to everyone who has send such kind messages about Wonders of the Frozen South. As I watched in awe as part of an iceberg collapsed into the sea, I was reminded of the fragility of the natural world and the importance of protecting it for future generations to enjoy.
